Hi, I'm new to the game and I have a few questions.

How can you tell if a pokemon for trade in the Trade Center is shiny or not?

I noticed that most of the moves that don't do damage don't actually do anything in the fight. Is there a reason for that?

No, there currently is no way to tell if a Pokemon is shiny/gold unless you message the trader beforehand and only a few of the non damaging attack have an effect as of now however ones that induce Sleep, Confusion, and Poison all work but not and buffs or debuffs but they should be added soon

You can't see if a Pokemon is shiny or golden in the Trade Center at the moment.

Moves like Leer that lower your stats don't work in this game. However, moves like Hypnosis, Thunder Wave, etc, do work (ones that give you burn, poison, paralysis or sleep) do work.
